Lilith appears as a demonic being who kills infants and threatens expectant mothers in Jewish folklore, frequently depicted as avenging the deaths of her own children. In this piece, however, instead of demonising her, I have created an effigy for her. The sand timer being in reference to the limited time her victims have in this world.
