Scorn of the Unborn

Creating this piece, I had an image in my mind’s eye of the original portrait being overcome by its own unborn spawn. A hatred from an unborn fetus, maybe. There is no big statement about abortion as one may contemplate or receive from this painting, no political or overarching narrative of an untold tale from a fetus not having a voice - I could fake a narrative and make a backstory up; maybe that would give this piece more credibility or meaning, however, I will not. This belongs in an ever growing project of portraits I am pleased with and content in showing.
